Full-Arch Dental Implants in Dorchester

Tired of loose dentures, failing teeth or avoiding the foods you love?

Full-arch implants replace a whole upper or lower set of teeth with a fixed bridge that doesn’t come out. For suitable patients, you leave the same day with fixed teeth.

We treat patients from Dorchester, Weymouth, Portland, Bridport, Lyme Regis, Beaminster, Crewkerne, Sherborne, Yeovil, Blandford and across Dorset and South Somerset, and we welcome complex cases, including people who’ve been told elsewhere they don’t have enough bone.

• Fixed teeth: no adhesives, no taking them out at night
• Same-day fixed teeth for suitable cases
• Digitally planned with guided surgery
• From £14,500 per arch, with 0% finance over 6 or 12 months, or extended plans up to 36 months, subject to approval

No pressure • Clear advice • Finance available

Is full-arch treatment right for you?

Full-arch treatment could be right for you if you:

• Have several failing, loose or heavily restored teeth
• Wear a denture that moves, rubs or makes eating a chore
• Are missing most or all of your teeth in one or both jaws
• Have old implants or bridgework that’s failing, including treatment done abroad

Not sure? That’s what the free consultation is for. We’ll also talk you through the alternatives, including implant-retained dentures (from £9,000 per arch), so you can choose what suits you.

How it works

1. Free consultation & 3D scan. We assess your teeth, bone and bite, talk through your options, and give you a clear written plan and price.

2. Digital planning & smile preview. Your implants and new teeth are planned on screen before surgery, so you can see the proposed result.

3. Treatment day. Failing teeth are removed and implants placed using guided surgery. For suitable cases, fixed temporary teeth are fitted the same day, so you’re never without teeth.

4. Healing. Over the next few months the implants bond with the bone while you wear your fixed temporary teeth.

5. Your final bridge. We fit your permanent, custom-made bridge (typically zirconia), then review you regularly to keep it healthy.

Fixed implants vs dentures vs going abroad

• vs dentures: no movement, no adhesive, no covering the roof of your mouth, and you can eat normally. Implants also help preserve the jawbone, which dentures don’t.
• vs implant-retained dentures: these are cheaper and very stable, but they still come out for cleaning. A fixed bridge stays in.
• vs treatment abroad: full-arch work needs careful follow-up for years. Having your clinician close to home rather than a flight away matters when you need adjustments, maintenance or help. We also regularly repair or replace treatment done elsewhere.

Common questions

Will it hurt?
Treatment is done under local anaesthetic, and IV sedation is available if you feel anxious. Most patients describe the following days as sore and swollen rather than painful, and manage with ordinary painkillers.

How many implants will I need?
Usually 4 to 6 per arch, depending on your bone and bite. We’ll confirm this after your 3D scan.

Do I need enough bone?
Not always. Careful planning, angled implants and bone regeneration mean many people who’ve been told they’re “not suitable” can still have fixed teeth.

Am I too old?
Age itself is rarely the barrier; your general health matters more. Many of our full-arch patients are in their 60s, 70s and beyond.

How long do full-arch implants last?
With good home care and regular maintenance visits, they’re designed to last many years. Like natural teeth, they need looking after.

How much time off work will I need?
Most people take 1 to 2 days off after surgery.

Can you fix implants or bridges done elsewhere?
Yes. Correcting and replacing failing implant work is a regular part of what we do.
